In collaboration with CHEF, the Welcome Center is able to educate students about the benefits of healthy snacks. By instructing them about positive habits with their own fruit salads, students are able to apply their knowledge with the hands-on approach. Not only does this promote academia, but it also instills healthy eating, which studies show that when moving to the United States those habits decline. With participation, it allows our new students to retain their cultural identity alongside acquiring a new taste for learning.
