The Welcome Center flies with hope with those who chose San Antonio as their city and community. NEISD middle school refugee students work on the creation of butterflies to use on the Walk With Little Amal. Paired with NEISD student organizations, including Student to Student (S2S) and PALS, our hope has our refugee students learn and “fly” alongside their butterflies with these organizations. With each of these unique butterflies participating in unison, it’s truly a welcoming sight to see new neighbors’ involvement. Thanks to our partnership with the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, all our students embody the craft of arts.
